Vitamin C is one of the most potent antioxidants, but it also has other properties that make it a great addition to your skincare regimen. You can find vitamin C in many food sources and as a topical product. Combining vitamin C and fractional laser treatments is an effective way to simultaneously improve pigmentation, such as dark spots and brighten skin tone. However, only apply the vitamin C at least two hours after laser treatment so that your skin has time to settle down:
Clear and Brilliant is a non-invasive laser treatment that uses fractional technology to rejuvenate the skin. A fractional laser breaks up wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage and pigmentation into tiny pieces and targets them with heat. The heat helps stimulate collagen production in the skin and encourages new cell growth. This process can take several weeks to see results, but many see improvements with just one Clear and Brilliant laser treatment session.
Fractional lasers can be used on all skin types, including ethnic or dark-skinned individuals who might not be able to use traditional lasers due to their sensitivity to light or the risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots). It’s important to note that this type of procedure requires some downtime; your doctor will give you specific recommendations based on your goals for the treatment.
Vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant. It's an effective anti-ageing ingredient, and it also helps to lighten skin and brighten the complexion. For these reasons, vitamin C is a good choice for those interested in skin care.
Vitamin C is safe to use with Clear and Brilliant Laser treatment. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improve the skin's tone, texture and radiance.
Many dermatologists recommend applying an antioxidant serum with vitamin C after laser treatments to protect the skin from free radicals that can cause premature ageing.

The combination of treatments is effective. Vitamin C and Clear and Brilliant are excellent at improving skin tone, so combining the two can have a synergistic effect.
Vitamin C is safe to use with Clear and Brilliant laser treatment. Over time, your body will build up a tolerance to vitamin C, and you may need to increase your dosage gradually.
Before you have a Clear and Brilliant laser treatment, you must sign a consent form to confirm that you are not allergic to vitamin C or other ingredients in the solution.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it's best to wait until after the baby is born.
You should also avoid waxing or laser hair removal for at least two weeks before your treatment. This is because these procedures can cause bruising and redness on the skin exposed to light therapy, which could make it difficult for us to create an even result from this procedure. Suppose you've had chemical peels or microdermabrasion within two weeks of your scheduled appointment with us. In that case, we may ask for more time before scheduling another appointment so that we can assess how well your skin recovered from those treatments.
Immediately after the treatment, you should avoid the following:
After the treatment, at home.
If you have had the Clear and Brilliant treatment, it is essential to follow these instructions.
If you’ve had Clear and Brilliant Laser Treatment, vitamin C is an excellent choice to use afterwards. Vitamin C helps improve the appearance of the skin and can be used with other treatments. It may also help smooth wrinkles and fine lines, reduce pore size and discolouration, and improve texture and firmness, all of which contribute to improved skin health and tone.
We recommend using it twice weekly for four weeks following your last treatment session.
Clear and Brilliant may be an excellent option if you have sensitive skin or have never had any treatment performed before. It is the least aggressive treatment in our laser therapies and will not cause significant redness or swelling. The results are subtle and designed to help correct dark spots while improving overall texture.
If you are looking for more dramatic results, we suggest starting with some of our other treatments that work on deeper layers of skin. If you're interested in learning more about these options, please contact us or book an appointment online today!
While research is still being done on the long-term effects of Clear + Brilliant, there are some things you can do to help your skin recover from the treatment. Retinol, vitamin c, and hyaluronic acid can all be used after Clear + Brilliant. Consult a licensed professional for guidance on the best product for you!
If you're interested in adding vitamin C to your regimen, it's safe for you to do so. Vitamin C can be used 2 hours after Clear and Brilliant Laser Treatment and will not reduce the effects of the treatment. However, it is recommended that you use only a gentle form of vitamin C, such as OTC-brand L-ascorbic acid or rose hip oil and avoid more acidic forms like magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP). In addition, if you are using MAP, please consult your doctor before using other products containing vitamin C on the same day. Once again: using vitamin C at home can be safe—but make sure it's applied gently!
Choosing safe and effective products is essential if you're looking for a skincare routine to improve your skin. Clear + Brilliant is an excellent option for those who want an effective treatment without risking any side effects from chemicals or lasers. The addition of vitamin C can help make your skin look even better after the treatment by brightening dark spots and improving tone, texture and radiance. Just be sure not to use these two treatments simultaneously because they require downtime before applying anything else on top!
