Vinay Aggarwal, MD

Dr. Vinay Aggarwal is passionate about making his patients look and feel better. At Self Care LA, he has created a holistic, non-invasive practice to focus on his patients from the inside out. His focus on optimizing hormones, body sculpting, laser treatments and a full repertoire of facial aesthetics sets him and Self Care LA apart. He strives to help his patients achieve their desired health and beauty goals. He studied Neuroscience and Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a Masters of Public Health at Yale University. Afterwards, he obtained his Medical Degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Aggarwal is a co-founder and owner of Self Care LA.

Shamim Shakibai, MD

Dr. Shamim Shakibai is a double board-certified internal medicine and obesity medicine physician trained at the prestigious Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. His interests focus on creating a new model of health care where the patient is at the center of the health care team. He is also involved in new and evolving technologies that helps patients with wellness and disease prevention. Dr. Shakibai studied Biochemistry and graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Long Beach as a President’s Scholar. He then attended the University of California, Davis where he received his Medical Degree. Along with being a co-founder of Self Care LA, Dr. Shakibai has also been involved in hospital work as a medical attending at Cedars Sinai and Olympia Medical Centers.

Jennifer Ahdout, MD

A highly sought-after board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Jennifer Ahdout is known for providing her patients with a personalized and thoughtful approach to skincare. A proponent of aging gracefully, she works with each client to compose a completely customized treatment plan that not only successfully resolves their unique skin issues, but also fits into their lifestyle.

After graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Los Angeles, she achieved her medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, the highest level of recognition for excellence in scholarship and ideals in the profession of medicine. After an internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in medicine, she finished her residency in dermatology at the University of California, Irvine, where she served as the chief of volunteer and satellite clinics. She has also conducted research on psoriasis, co-authored a paper on the role of topical and oral vitamins in photoaging for the American Academy of Dermatology, and authored a noteworthy paper and chapter in a prominent dermatology textbook on alopecia.

Dr. Ahdout has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Excellence, the UCLA Chancellor’s Service Award and several scholarships. However, her greatest achievement thus far has been her leadership role in establishing a free dermatology clinic in Orange County to serve the needs of uninsured members of the community.
